SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT
- 1. The SWM Service has now been managed by Waste Management Companies under “The Suthra Punjab Program” launched by GO Pb in December 2024.
- 2. Waste collection, transportation and developing/maintaining waste disposal sites has been outsourced through the waste management companies.
- 3. The selected contractors are collecting waste from door to door (where possible), temporarily store and transporting it using appropriate plant & equipment and developing waste dumping site.
- 4. Citizen’s complaints related with SWM are being handled by the Contractors through “Suthra Punjab App/ Complaint Management System (CMS)” developed by PITB and implemented by LG&CDD.
